PSSOR Adventure Camps offer specialized training on handling large dual sport and adventure type bikes off road.
Whether you have a trip planned to the tip of Chile or just want to discover new areas in the Pacific Northwest our camps are a 'must do'.
Topics range from riding skills, to rope recovery, satellite trackers, bike prep, packing, cooking, and more. The overnight camps include riding lessons, clinics, seminars, and meals!
Adventure Camps are divided into two types: Basic, and Extended.
Basic Adventure Camps are conducted in flat land areas and are 2-3 days depending on the schedule. These are entry level events for riders of larger dual sport and adventure type bikes to learn about off road riding on their 'big dirtbikes'.
Extended Adventure Camps are 2 days or more depending on schedule and location. These events are done at diferent locations around the Northwest and all are unique because the skills and sessions offered are tailored the location.
Riding time will vary depending on many factors (location, trail/road condition, weather, breaks, etc). Total ride time, including breaks, usually ranges from 4 to 6 hours each day. Travel and prep time are not included in the estimates.
The PSSOR Basic Adventure Camp costs $395 for the two day event. The PSSOR Extended Adventure Camp cost varies depending on the location and number of riders attending.
For 2-day Adventure Camp events you must provide a lunch for the first day. We will provide dinner for the first night and breakfast and lunch for the second day.
For longer Adventure Camps you'll need to check with the office for what meals are provided.
We provide snacks (fruit and granola bars) and water througout Basic and Extended Adventure Camp events.
At this time we do not provide camping equipment for the Extended Adventure camp. Soon we will be offering camping equipment for "rent" and give riders the option to buy after they try.
We do not have a requirement to ride in or trailer in, but you must bring your camping supplies and any other items you might need for the entire event. Some event locations may not have gas stations nearby so keep that in mind if your bike has a smaller fuel tank.
You are more then welcome to bring a guest or two (great for company and taking photos). If they will do any riding they must register and pay the full tuition. If they will only be a spectator we only charge a small fee to cover the cost of the meals.
The Adventure Camp events required to have your own dual sport or adventure type bike. It will need to pass a basic safety inspection before the riding day begins.
We have provided private Adventure Camp events in the past. Please call our office to discuss the details of what type of Adventure Camp you would like.
If you haven’t ridden your dual sport or adventure type bike lately... dig it out and spend some time riding around. It is also helpful to be in good physical condition so if you’re used to sitting behind a desk or in a low activity environment get out and spend some time being physical before your class.
