Trail training is for anyone who has taken a PSSOR course. This training is done in small groups with coaching specific to trail riding. Riders must provide their own motorcycle and gear.
The Basic and Advanced Trail Training programs combine key skills of other PSSOR courses while providing practical application. These programs are scheduled on request at off road riding areas such as ORV parks, trail systems and private property.
You'll get guidance on basic trail etiquette, riding in groups, navigation, as well as coaching on trail riding skills specific to the riding environment.
Riding time will vary depending on many factors (location, trail condition, weather, breaks, etc). Total ride time, including breaks, usually ranges from 4 to 6 hours. Travel and prep time are not included in the estimates.
The Advanced Trail Training is geared toward adult riders (call for exceptions). With the Basic Trail Training we can accommodate younger riders only in a "family" or group (i.e. friends, cousins, scout troop, etc) session. All riders must be experienced off road riders or graduates of a prior PSSOR training course.
The PSSOR Trail Training cost varies depending on the location and number of riders attending. A cost will be provided when you call to schedule or get more info.
Throughout the day of training you will be given breaks for drinks or snacks. There will not be time to leave the area to grab lunch so you will need to bring food and drinks with you. So please come prepared with plenty of fluids and snacks to keep you going throughout the day.
To take the PSSOR Basic & Advanced Trail Training you must provide your own off road motorcycle. It will need to pass a basic safety inspection before the riding day begins.
The Trail Training events are designed specifically with family/friend groups in mind. We will schedule the day around your requirements. You'll have to call for details though!
If you haven’t ridden your dirtbike lately... dig it out and spend some time riding around. It is also helpful to be in good physical condition so if you’re used to sitting behind a desk or in a low activity environment get out and spend some time being physical before your class.
